Clowney For Tunsil Trade Imminent?

Jadeveon Clowney may have taken a step closer to becoming a Miami Dolphin.

The Miami Herald reports the Texans have offered Clowney and a first round pick for miami’s young and ultra talented left tackle, Laremy Tunsil. Tunsil at age 25 is locked into a low cost contract for 2 more years.

The Herald also reports the Dolphin locker room would revolt if Tunsil were moved since it would mark an obvious season long tanking. The reality is Miami is in rebuild mode and they want to stock up draft picks. They have countered the Texans offer asking for an additional early draft pick.

When asked by the South Florida Sun Sentinel after their game versus the New Orleans Saints, Miami coach Brian Flores stated “there is no trade in place” for Tunsil. This statement leaves a lot of room open for interpretation and means they could absolutely be working on a deal.
