Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams is still holding out of his contract, according to DeAngle Hall of The Athletic. The skilled OL is telling teammates that he likely won’t be on the field for Week 1 of the regular season.
According to reports from Jason La Confora of CBS Sports, the main dispute in the new contract negotiations is not financial but instead focus on how the team would handle any possible medical situations.
Williams was drafted in 2010 by the Redskins with the fourth pick in the first round of the NFL draft. Since then, the skilled OL started 119 of the 120 games since his draft and was selected for seven continuous Pro Bowls.
