The Cincinnati Bengals are signing running back Giovani Bernard to a two-year, $10.3 million extension, according to Tom Pelissero.
Under the new deal, Bernard will make $5.9 million this season and $11 million over both years, which includes a $600,000 guaranteed bonus that will be paid out in March.
Bernard, who will be 28 in November, will spell Joe Mixon in the Bengals backfield. Last season, he played in 12 games for 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 56 carries. He added 35 receptions for 218 yards.
