The Arizona Cardinals traded offensive lineman Korey Cunningham to the Patriots for a sixth-round pick, per Field Yates. Cunningham was first with the news on Instagram.
“Arizona!! Man, it’s been a fun year and a half out in the desert!” Cunningham wrote. “Thank you to Mr. [Bidwill], Steve Keim, and the Cardinals organization for allowing me to start off my career here. Wish you guys nothing but the best of luck this season! With that being said, I was just notified that I have been traded to the New England Patriots. Beyond excited to continue my career and to get back to work!!”
Cunningham was set to serve as a backup take for the Cardinals after he started six games last season. Instead, he’ll provide depth to the Patriots. Cunningham is likely to make the 53-man roster as a swing tackle behind Isaiah Wynn and Marcus Cannon.
