Ezekiel Elliott Returning To Dallas Area But Obstacles Remain For New Contract

Cowboys holdout running back Ezekiel Elliott is flying back to the Dallas area from Cabo in case his extension gets done, per Ian Rapoport.

The deal is not done and some obstacles remain but Rapoport reports he will be in town if an extension gets finalized.

Latest reports indicate talks between Elliott and the Cowboys have been more positive and head coach Jason Garrett is on record as to saying there is no deadline Zeke must report in order to play Week 1 against the Giants.

Elliott has been training in Cabo since training camp begun, with at least one documented trip back to the Dallas area.
