Fantasy Football – Waiver Wire Week 10

Week 10 has 6 teams on bye. With this many teams not playing it is a very important week to pay attention to waivers. It’s also a week when a lot of your opponents will need to drop a useful player to be able to play with full starters. If you have room available and a high waiver priority I’d recommend saving your claim unless there is a player available you can’t do without.

If prior week’s early target/returning players are still available you should target them first. The ones that stand out are Kareem Hunt, Darrius Guice, and Josh Gordon.

Quarterback

Nick Foles – The Minshew experience is ending and Foles will be the starter after Jacksonville’s bye. He won’t help you this week but since he has one of the easiest remaining schedules, he could help you win a title.

Running Back

Ronald Jones II – Jones has (finally) become the starter in Tampa and has coach Bruce Arians trust. This week’s opponent (Arizona) has given up the second most points to running backs. Jones is a great bye week filler and could be more if he truly takes over the backfield.

Kalen Ballage – Starter Mark Walton is suspended for the next 4 games and Ballage looks to fill in on all 3 downs. He has been downright awful in on a terrible team but is filler if you need him.

Wide Receiver

Christian Kirk – The Cardinals should be in a shootout with the Bucs and Kirk could absolutely blow up. He’s disappointed this year but the matchup is too fantastic to pass up if you need to start a WR off waivers.

DeVante Parker – Preston Williams going down for the season means more opportunities for Parker. With Miami’s run game on hold until Walton returns, Fitzpatrick will have to throw the ball non stop.

Mike Williams – There is life in the Chargers offense with the OC change and Williams is fantasy relevant because of it. He busted out last week and now has a soft Oakland secondary this week.

Tight End

Delanie Walker – Walker is probably a game away (plus bye) from returning but will be a legit TE for the playoff push when back. If you need someone for this week grab his backup Jonnu Smith.

Defense

Baltimore Ravens / New York Giants – Both teams have great matchups this week and are nice fillers if you have the Patriots on bye. If someone drops New England’s D (because defenses they are too cool to carry 2 defenses through a bye) do everything you can to pick them up.
