New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell did not play in Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins due to an illness. The Jets won the game, 22-21 to move their record to 5-8.
Bell was actually spotted bowling the night before the game, something Jets head coach Adam Gase had to explain to reporters.
“What am I going to discipline him for?” Gase said h/t TMZ. “I can’t tell him you have to stay in your house.”
“I’d rather him not be [bowling],” Gase said … “I’d rather him be at home just getting better.”
The Jets play the 11-2 Ravens in Baltimore on Thursday night.
