The Lions have signed quarterback Kyle Sloter off the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals.
To make room for Sloter on the team’s 53-man roster, they have placed Jeff Driskel on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Sloter along with David Blough are the only healthy quarterbacks on the Lions’ roster.
Regular starter Matthew Stafford is out with fractured bones in his back but he has not been placed on IR. The 3-8-1 Lions are well out of contention and have little incentive to bring Stafford back.
