Melvin Gordon’s holdout is leaking into the regular season per Jeremy Fowler. With the San Diego Chargers not negotiating until the end of the season, Gordon will not report week 1 and likely beyond.
Unless one side blinks or a trade happens, I expect Gordon to do his best Le’Veon Bell impression and sit out as long as he can.
The Chargers will start the season with Austin Ekeler, Justin jackson, and Troymaine Pope at running back. Ekeler should have the most prominent role.
