As mentioned earlier here at NFLNews.co, Chargers RB Melvin Gordon could play this week against the Dolphins, reports Eric Williams.
With Justin Jackson out with a strained calf, the Chargers only have Austin Ekeler and Troymaine Pope as running backs on their 53-man roster. Gordon must be activated by the Saturday-afternoon deadlined in order to be eligible to play.
Gordon is set to travel to Miami with the team after ending his holdout and returning to practice earlier this week. If he plays on Sunday, the plan would be to use him in a limited capacity.
Last season, Gordon finished with 1,375 yards from scrimmage in just 12 games.
