MRI Confirms Lamar Miller Tore Left ACL – Out For Season

An MRI has confirmed that Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller tore the ACL in his left knee in last night’s preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Adam Schefter.

He’ll miss the entire 2019 NFL season and will be placed on injured reserve. Miller will be a free agent in 2020.

The immediate question for the Texans will be how to address their backfield. Newly-acquired running back Duke Johnson has been used as a pass-only back in his NFL career, despite being an every down back in college. He’s the only experienced back currently on the team’s roster.
