Patriots Place Starting LT Isaiah Wynn On Injured Reserve

The Patriots have placed starting LT Isaiah Wynn on injured reserve as a result of a foot injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Dolphins, Field Yates reports.

Wynn will miss at least eight weeks.

The Patriots selected Wynn with the 23rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He did not play last season due to injury.

The Pats signed Caleb Benenoch, who will start in his place. New England spent a lot of attention on their offensive line late in the offseason as they are already without center David Andrews for the season.

Offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia has proved to be an expert at coaching guys to protect Tom Brady but he’s facing one of his toughest challenges to date.
