The Washington Redskins hope to trade wide receiver Josh Doctson by Week 1, reports Ben Standig.
In May, the Redskins declined the fifth-year option on Doctson’s contract he signed in 2016. He stands to make $1.82 million this season, which will be a contract year for him.
Dotson, 26, caught one reception for 16 yards in the Redskins’ third preseason game. It was his only catch of the summer. He’s coming off back-to-back 500-yard seasons and will hope to land in a better spot if traded.
