Redskins Place RB Derrius Guice On Injured Reserve

The Redskins placed RB Derrius Guice on injured reserve on Friday, meaning he’ll be out for at least eight weeks, per John Kelm.

As reported earlier here at NFLNews.co, Guice underwent surgery for a torn meniscus under Dr. James Andrews.

Guice had 10 carries for 18 yards in the first regular season game of his career last week.

Guice, 22, was selected in the second-round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Redkins. He missed all of last season due to a torn ACL, which occurred in a different knee than is currently injured. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $4,541,938 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
