Ryan Tannehill Expected Back With Titans Through Franchise Tag Or Extension

The Tennessee Titans want quarterback Ryan Tannehill back for next season and longer. The team sees him as a big part of their future as he had a breakout season as the most efficient passer in the NFL this year after taking over for Marcus Mariota midseason.

As for how the Titans plan to keep Tannehill, they could franchise tag him if they cannot reach a long-term contract extension.

In 2019, Tannehill played for $19.497 million on the final year of a six-year deal he signed with the Dolphins in 2015. He of course was traded from the Dolphins to the Titans last offseason.
