Titans Looking To Re-Sign Ryan Tannehill As Franchise Quarterback

The Tennessee Titans are having internal discussions about signing quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a new contract after the season.

This isn’t a situation where they’re looking to tag him but they want a new deal that will secure him as the future quarterback of the team.

Tannehill, 31, took over as Titans quarterback after Marcus Mariota was benched in Week 6. Through eight games this season, Tannehill has thrown for 1602 yards, completing 72.7% of his passes for 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. He boasts a QB rating of 113.9.

He currently has one-year, $19.497 million remaining on a six-year deal he signed in 2015 with the Dolphins.
