Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has pushed his hamstring in warmups this morning and has looked good. He is active and expected to play today against the Miami Dolphins, despite not practicing this week.
One tidbit that might have gotten lost in the news of Philadelphia re-signing right tackle Lane Johnson is that talks between the team and Ertz regarding a contract extension have stalled, per Tim McManus.
Ertz has two years remaining on a six-year, $43.64 million contract he signed in 2016. However, the Eagles have been actively trying to sign their core talent to contract extensions. Ertz, 29, is someone they want to lock up for the rest of his career.
