2019 NFL QB Awards, Week 5

Week 5 is in the books and again there were some stellar performances from the games best playmakers.

One game by a certain QB was one for the ages and he is bringing home the gold today.

Hottest Hand Award: Deshaun Watson

Deshaun Watson’s performance on Sunday was masterful. The Texans QB threw 28-of-33 for 426 yards and 5 touchdowns. His QB rating was a perfect 158.3. He threw zero interceptions and ran for another 48 yards. It doesn’t get any better than that ladies and gentlemen.

Biggest Bomb Award: Deshaun Watson

Watson’s impeccable game was highlighted by a 44 yard TD pass to WR Will Fuller. He also threw a bullseye to Fuller on a 33 yard score that after dropping back soared for 45 yards in the air.

I Need An Ice Pack Award: Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes was under distress this week and re-injured his ankle. He showed his toughness after already limping and getting his ankle stepped on by one of his own lineman. He gingerly walked to the sideline and refused medical treatment, came back in but came up short against the Colts. Ice that ankle Patrick, your team and all of fantasyland need you.

TD Machine Award: Deshaun Watson

Here he is again with his 5 TD’s! 3 went to WR Will Fuller, the other 2 to TE Darren Fells.

What. A. Game.

Better Luck Next Game Award: Dak Prescott

Dak had a great game throwing 27-of-44 for 463 yards and 2 scores. Unfortunately his Cowboys came up short against Green Bay thanks to Aaron Jones and his 4 rushing TD’s. Luckily he goes against the Jets this week.
