Since coming over from the Miami Dolphins, running back Kenyan Drake has been solid. So solid the Cardinals would love to re-sign him.
Drake was brought over after injuries to starter David Johnson and backup Chase Edmonds. GM Steve Keim said on 98.7 KMVP he has never viewed Drake as a stopgap. Drake’s 4TD game last week is proof he isn’t playing like a stopgap.
With Drake’s play and the team reaffirming they want to keep him, David Johnson’s future with the team is in serious question. Johnson has been an amazing player but has a lot of miles on him. Perhaps a change of scenery next season would be best for Johnson and the Cardinals.
