The Detroit Lions are expected to activate running back Kerryon Johnson from the IR before Sunday’s game in Denver. Johnson has been out since going down with a knee injury in week 7.
The Lions plan to be “smart” with Johnson if he plays. He will likely not handle a full workload, expect Bo Scarbrough and J.D. McKissic to run the rock as well.
With Detroit nowhere near a playoff birth it doesn’t make much sense to have Johnson play. Then again the Lions organization haven’t been making much sense this year.
