Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is not expected to miss time after suffering an injury to his right hand in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mayfield hit his hand on the facemask of Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree, causing him to briefly come out of the game. X-rays were negative and he was diagnosed with a bruise.
After returning, Mayfield donned a protective glove and spoke with reporters after the game with his hand heavily wrapped. The Browns ended up losing the game 13-20 with Mayfield going 18-for-32 on 196 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
He could get an MRI this week to make sure all is well but he expects to play in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Through 12 games this season, Mayfield has completed 60 percent of his passes for 2,917 yards to go with 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His Browns, who were hyped as a preseason Super Bowl pick by some, are 5-7.
