Bears Cut RB Mike Davis

The Bears have released RB Mike Davis after signing him to a two-year, $6 million contract this offseason.

In seven games this year, Davis has 11 carries for 25 yards and seven receptions for 22 yards. He showed promise earlier in the season but plummeted down the depth chart. Based on his stellar year last year with the Seahawks, he’ll likely get a shot somewhere else and is subject to waivers.

On the Bears side of things, releasing Davis will help them get a compensation pick.
