Chiefs DE Emmanuel Ogbah Suffers Devastating Injury

Chiefs DE Emmanuel Ogbah suffered a torn pectoral muscle in his team’s shocking 35-32 loss to the Titans on Sunday.

While a timetable has not been announced for how long he will be out, he’ll likely miss the remainder of the 2019 season. Ogbah has played a key part for the Chiefs’ defense this year, racking up 5.5 sacks to lead the team.

Ogbah was drafted in the second-round by the Browns in 2016 and was traded to Kansas City in April.

Fellow defensive end Frank Clark stated after the game he’s been dealing with a pinched nerve in his neck.

Ogbah will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season but his performance through 10 games was likely enough to land him a decent contract in the offseason.

The Chiefs have lost four of their last six games. They’re still in first place in the AFC West but are only a half-game ahead of the Raiders.

KC will play the Chargers next week on Monday Night Football in Mexico City.
