Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green is still in a walking boot, reports Geoff Hobson.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed over the weekend Green was not a candidate for injured reserve, making him immediately available when healthy, per NFL.com.
Green, 31, is dealing with torn ligaments in his left ankle. Initial reports suggested he would be out six to eight weeks. Taylor told reporters that timetable was still accurate. Jay Morrison of The Athletic believes the earlier we’ll see Green on the field is Week 3.
Green stands to make $11.97 million this season as part of a five-year, $70.176 million extension he signed back in 2015.
