Browns Have Not Looked At Trading Odell Beckham This Offseason

The Cleveland Browns have not had discussions this offseason about moving wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr, reports Adam Schefter.

The rumors of Beckham wanting out of Cleveland following one season with the team began after last season. Beckham, who played injured during 2019, reportedly told other players and coaches before games last season to “come get” him.

It was not Beckham’s decision to go to the Browns, he was traded there. The relationship between the two parties is not expected to end well.

Browns chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta stated last week that rumors the team was looking to trade him to the Minnesota Vikings were false.

“It was completely false,” said DePodesta via Daryl Ruiter. “It’s frustrating obviously. It’s pretty clear what we’re trying to build…..the idea we’d take away from that core doesn’t make sense & is not something we’re exploring”

Last season, Beckham played in 16 games for the Browns and hauled in 74 receptions for 1035 yards and four touchdowns.
