The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to trade cornerback Nate Hairston to the New York Jets, according to Adam Schefter. The Colts will receive a 2020 sixth-round pick in return.
Hairston isn’t a star by any means but he fills an obvious need for the Jets at cornerback. He’s started eleven games in the past two years and is under contract through 2020. The Colts’ excess at the position allowed them to unload Hairston for draft pick compensation.
Hairston, 25, can be used as a versatile cornerback or safety heading into the 2019 season.
