The Dallas Cowboys are out on Dolphins DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Armando Salguero reports. According to Salguero, Dallas would have to do work to make up the ground they have lost to three other teams.
The Dolphins are certain they’re going to get a first-round pick for Fitzpatrick and they’re also confident they can get an extra piece of compensation included in the trade.
At least five teams have expressed interest in the former first-round pick but other teams do not believe Miami will be able to recoup a first-round pick and something else, per Adam Schefter. The Dolphins are likely to make the trade as soon as this week, per Jason La Canfora.
Fitzpatrick was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by Miami and he allowed just a 53.4 passer rating in the slot last year. He’s set to make $13.45 million over the next three seasons.
