Cowboys WR Michael Gallup To Undergo MRI For Knee Injury

Cowboys WR Michael Gallup is set to undergo an MRI on his knee following his team’s Week 2 win against the Redskins, reports Calvin Watkins.

It’s unclear if Gallup is believed to have a serious issue with his knee or the test is precautionary.

Gallup is thriving in Kellen Moore’s offensive scheme through two weeks, as he led the Cowboys in targets with eight on Sunday. He missed a portion of the fourth quarter due to a knee issue.

Gallup is in his second year after being selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. In May 2018, he signed a four-year contract with Dallas. He’s already accumulated 15 targets through two games with 13 receptions and 226 yards. Last season, he played all 16 games for the Cowboys and finished with 33 receptions and 507 yards with two touchdowns.
