The Giants will take the field tonight against Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots for their final pre-season game (kick-off at 7:30 ET). The surprise for the game is that first-round rookie QB Daniel Jones will be starting instead of veteran Eli Manning, as first reported by Bryan DeAdro of CBS News.
While the Giants front office is not wavering from the fact that Eli Manning will be the starter in Week 1, this is yet another great opportunity for the sixth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to continue his solid preseason.
In three preseason games, Jones has thrown the football with stellar accuracy (83.3%), while averaging 123 yards/game along with two TDs.
