Yes fantasy fans it’s that time again, the Super Bowl! No not the one in Miami, the one you have been playing for yourself all year.
Hopefully most of you here are in your leagues big game and not the in the toilet bowl. Believe it or not there are some pretty promising options in this weeks edition that could help your team, or your opponent if you don’t pick up the right player.
Good luck to everyone out there this week!
Quarterback
Philip Rivers – Rivers has looked pretty old this season. He goes up against Oakland at home this week in a prime matchup. He bombed against them last time but should fare well at home.
Dwayne Haskins – The rookie QB took a big step forward last week against Philly and will look to build on that this week against the Giants.
Running Back
Mike Boone & Alexander Mattison – Dalvin Cook is still dealing with his shoulder injury that took him out last week. Mattison was inactive for an injury of his own and Boone thrived. Mattison would start if healthy and Cook misses. Boone would be the go to if both are out.
Adrian Peterson – AP found running room last week against the Eagles and has a softer opponent this week with the Giants in town.
Wide Receiver
Breshard Perriman- Tampa Bay has lost their 2 top receivers and Perriman is the next man up. He went for 5/113/3! Don’t expect a repeat performance this week but figure he could still post WR1/2 numbers.
Will Fuller – Fuller is healthy and has a juicy matchup against Tampa Bay. His low floor looks pretty decent and his ceiling looks tremendous.
Danny Amendola – I have a soft spot for Amendola since the dude has helped me win titles a few times now. He may do it again this year. Over the last 3 weeks Amendola has 29 targets. Without Stafford who went on IR, Danny’s target share should continue.
Tight End
O.J. Howard – One of this years biggest draft bombs could pull through in the end. With so many injuries at receiver and a QB who likes to spread the ball around, Howard could come up big.
Defense
Atlanta Falcons – Dan Quinn’s team is riding high after taking down San Francisco. Look for them to continue their high level of play against Jacksonville.
Bonus Pick Up
The best player a league mate drops. Quite often during the last week of fantasy football another player will get mad they aren’t in the big game and will drop a solid player or two. If your commish doesn’t step in, be ready to use your waiver priority on who they drop.
