Jets QB Sam Darnold Out Week 2 With Mononucleosis

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold will not play in the team’s Monday Night Football game agains the Browns due to mononucleosis, reports Brian Costello.

Darnold could miss several weeks. Trevor Siemian will replace him as the Jets’ starting quarterback.

Last week, Darnold completed 28-of-41 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown in the Jets’ 17-16 loss to the Bills in Week 1.
