Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict is facing more scrutiny regarding dirty hits following tape review by NFL officials.
Ian Rapoport is reporting the league sent Burfict a letter this week to notify him they found another helmet-to-helmet hit from the same game against the Colts last week that resulted in his suspension. The hit will be used against him as justification for suspending him for the rest of the season.
Burfict was ejected from last Sunday’s game against the Colts after a blatant head-to-head blow on Colts TE Jack Doyle. The league later announced he was suspended for the rest of the season, which would be for 12 games and the longest ever for one incident.
