Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick is no closer to signing with an NFL team this week than he was before his now infamous workout at Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, GA. Seven teams attended the workout but his representatives sent the tape to the other 25 teams in the league.
Since the workout, no teams have reached out for an individual session and there remains little to no interest in signing him, despite his attorney Mark Geragos claiming on The Adam Carolla podcast that two teams have shown interest in his client.
The NFL set up a workout for Kaepernick on Nov. 16 at the practice facility of the Atlanta Falcons. However, his representatives changed the venue in the hours leading up to it over a disagreement about a liability waiver the NFL wanted him to sign as well as disputes over media availability. The league issued a statement, revealing they were “disappointed” he chose not to attend his workout.
Kaepernick ended up doing work in front of scouts from the 49ers, Eagles, Chiefs, Jets, Redskins, Lions and Titans.
The 32-year-old quarterback has not played in the NFL since 2016. In 2016, he threw 16 touchdowns to four interceptions in 12 games.
