Raiders general manager Mike Mayock was asked about wide receiver Antonio Brown on Thursday. When confronted about whether or not Brown will be suspended or even released, Mayock said via Ian Rapoport:
“Antonio Brown is not in the building today,” Mayock said. “He’s not going to be practicing. I don’t have any more information. When we do, I’ll get it to you. That’s it for today.”
Mayock was frustrated with Brown for posting about the Raiders fining him on Instagram. A shouting match ensued with things nearly getting physical. Vic Tafur reports LB Vontaze Burfict, of all people, held Brown back from Mayock.
Brown threatened to hit Mayock in the face and punted a ball down the field. There is a good possibility the Raiders suspend him, if they don’t move on entirely.
