Redskins RB Derrius Guice Out Indefinitely After Surgery For Torn Meniscus

Redskins running back Derrius Guice underwent surgery on his torn meniscus by Dr. James Andrews, per Ian Rapoport.

Guice is out indefinitely and the Redskins are considering their roster options. It’s projected he could be out six to eight weeks. Guice had 10 carries for 18 yards in the first regular season game of his career last week.

Guice, 22, was selected in the second-round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Redkins. He missed all of last season due to a torn ACL, which occurred in a different knee than is currently injured. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $4,541,938 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
