The New Orleans Saints signed 28-year-old linebacker Manti Te’o on Tuesday.
Te’o played for the Saints in 2017 and 2018 but didn’t catch on with a new team after his two-year contract came to a conclusion. In 2017, Te’o started eleven games and was effective.
Fellow linebacker Kiko Alonso left last Thursday’s game with a thigh injury and is considered day-to-day, reports Katherine Terrell. While his status for this week’s game against the 49ers is unknown, the signing of Te’o isn’t a good sign.
