Week 1 Injury Roundup: Guice To Miss Time, Hill, JuJu, More

Week 1 is almost over, here is our list of players that got hurt and when they hope to come back.

Derrius Guice – Things looked up for the Washington Redskins RB. He recovered from the injury that robbed him of his rookie year and Adrien Peterson was a healthy scratch. Sunday Guice looked slow and it’s because of a knee injury. It is not the ACL-knee and Washington is hoping Guice will avoid surgery per Ian Rapoport. Guice will miss time so look for AP to step back into his role from last season.

Tyreek Hill – We already learned of Hill’s injury and it will be known soon if he will land on the IR. Watkins will continue to build on his big game.

Tevin Coleman – The San Francisco 49er’s RB will miss some time with an ankle sprain. The Niners can’t catch a break with Jerick McKinnon already out from knee surgery. Matt Breida will be the running the rock here.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – JuJu went to the X-Ray room after the Steelers’ loss to New England. Luckily the X-Rays came back negative and he should be ready to roll next week.

Joe Haden – The Steelers’ star CB suffered a shoulder injury in last night’s game and has a sprained AC joint reports Ian Rapoport. A time table is currently unknown.

Joe Mixon – Mixon went down with an ankle sprain during the Cincinnati Bengal’s close loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Tom Pelissero says Mixon’s MRI came back “all good” and has a shot to play next week.

Devin Funchess – Indianapolis Colt’s receiver Funchess broke his collarbone and will likely have surgery. The wideout is seeking a second opinion per Tom Pelissero.

Chris Lindstrom– The RG from the Atlanta Falcons broke a small bone in his foot and, via Tom Pelissero, has been spotted in a walking boot. He is an IR candidate.
