Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay is going into the final year of a five-year, $51.33 million contract he signed in 2016 where he stands to earn $10 million.
Replying to a tweet that highlighted the per year average for the top-paid cornerbacks in the league, Slay tweeted, ”Y’all number to low lol”

Slay, 29, is coming off a third straight Pro Bowl appearance and is looking for a big raise. He did not go to voluntary OTAs last offseason and could do so again if his demand for a new contract are not met.
In 2019, he had two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
