Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered a fractured left ring finger today at practice, according to Ian Rapoport. He notes the injury is minor, the team isn’t concerned and Jackson isn’t expected to miss time.
However, Josina Anderson reports Jackson was told it’s a three to four week injury. Jackson is scheduled to try out a custom splint tomorrow. He’s not sure what his comfort will be playing with it and a decision will have to be made later whether or not he can play before the injury is fully healed.
The Eagles acquired Jackson through a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March. They signed him to a three-year $27 million contract with $13 million guaranteed.
Jackson was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Eagles. He earned three Pro Bowl selections during his time in Philadelphia.
