Jadeveon Clowney Fires Agent – Trade Interest From Dolphins

Jadeveon Clowney wants out of Houston and prefers playing for the Seahawks or Eagles, reports Aaron Wilson.

It’s a fluid situation because he has leverage as an unsigned franchise player. Earlier today, Wilson reports Clowney fired veteran agent Bus Cook because he’s extremely frustrated with his situation. He has five days before he can hire a new agent.

Additional reporting suggests Clowney’s agent change was not done lightly and has been contemplated for a while.

Wilson hears the Miami Dolphins are very interested in trading for Clowney. He reports Jadeveon recently met with Dolphins coach Brian Flores and it went well. The Dolphins are, however, unwilling to include offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil in a prospective trade scenario involving the veteran linebacker. The Texans also need help at running back.

Clowney, 26, was selected first overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. He’s set to play the 2019 season on a one-year $16 million tender.
