Giants Name QB Daniel Jones Week 3 Starter

The Giants have named rookie QB Daniel Jones their starter for Week 3, the team announced today on Twitter.

Jones completed 85.3% of his passes in the preseason for 416 yards and two touchdowns in just 60 snaps. The Giants selected him No. 6 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Eli Manning, who is owed $23.5 million this season, has a record of 116-116 over 16 seasons. The team had said he would remain the starter for as long as they were in the Playoff hunt. It’s Week 3.
