Detroit Lions LB Jarrad Davis was carted off the field during Friday’s preseason game due to an ankle injury.
Ian Rapoport reports Davis will undergo an MRI on Saturday to provide the team with crucial information regarding the injury.
Davis, 24, was picked by the Lions in the first-round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s in year three of a four-year $10.96 million contract he signed. He’ll make base salaries of $1.46 million and $1.96 million over the next two seasons.
Last year, Davis played in all 16 games for the Lions and recorded 100 tackles, six sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and five pass defenses.
