Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season due to an ankle injury.
The injury occurred during last Sunday’s 7-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He stayed in the game after suffering the injury.
Jones finishes the year with 62 catches for 779 yards and nine touchdowns. He remains under contract for one more season, as he’s set to earn a base salary of $6.5 million in 2020.
In a corresponding roster move, the Lions signed defensive tackle Frank Herron off of the Miami Dolphins practice squad.
