The New York Giants have fired head coach Pat Shurmur following a record of 9-23 in two seasons.
Prior to coaching in New York, Shurmur was head coach for the Cleveland Browns in 2011 and 2012. Ironically enough, he compiled a 9-23 during his two-year tenure there as well. He also served as interim head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles for a game in 2015.
It’s currently unclear whether or not the Giants will also terminate General Manager Dave Gettleman.
