Yet another dispute has arose between the NFL and free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick following Saturday’s workout session in Atlanta.
The league claimed that Nike wanted to shoot footage from the workout and use it in a commercial. This is something Nike is denying, saying they were not on hand for the session. They also want the NFL to retract their statement.
There was an eighth team present at the session but it has not been identified. Teams confirmed to be at the session included the Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles, Jets, Titans, Redskins and Lions.
As for claims regarding the waiver the NFL wanted to Kaepernick to sign, it was just a standard waiver and is included below:
After some calls and discussions here is what a league source was able to provide. It was explained the waiver the NFL wanted Colin Kaepernick to sign is a standard waiver given to any player. Here is the waiver. pic.twitter.com/p2Rtt3WKI3
