The NFL can be ruthless, especially when it comes to kickers.
The Patriots announced today they’ve released kicker Nick Folk to make room for his replacement, Kai Forbath on the 53-man roster. Folk underwent an appendectomy and is supposed to only miss one week. There is always a chance the Pats re-sign him when he’s healthy.
Folk replaced Mike Nugent, who was signed after kicker Stephen Gostkowski was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending hip injury.
