Raiders Work Out Butler, Browns Promote Harvey Jr.; Kirksey To IR, Pats Promote Johnson

– The Raiders worked out free agent WR Brice Butler on Friday ahead of their road trip to Minnesota, reports Jane Slater. The former seventh-round pick told Slater he would love to join the team and QB Derek Carr.

– The Browns are promoting LB Willie Harvey Jr. from their practice squad to the 53-man roster, Ian Rapoport reports. Harvey will step in on Sunday with starter Christian Kirksey seeking opinions on his torn biceps injury. As expected, Kirksey, a captain for the team, was placed on injured reserve, per Mary Kay Cabot.

– The Patriots have called up FB Jakob Johnson from their practice squad to the 53-man roster, per Michael David Smith. Johnson will fill-in for starting FB James Develin and take the roster spot of released WR Antonio Brown.
