Texans Reach Out To Eagles & Seahawks About Jadeveon Clowney; Willing To Miss Games

by

Houston Texans unsigned franchise linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is willing to sit out regular season games, Mike Garafolo reports. Clowney wants to make sure he holds leverage prior to being traded and he’ll keep that leverage by not signing the tag.

The Seahawks and Eagles have been in trade talks for Clowney, according to The Houston Chronicle. As previously reported, the Dolphins are the frontrunners but the Texans have reached out to both of Clowney’s preferred destinations.

The New York Jets and Washington Redskins have also expressed interest in the star linebacker.

Clowney reportedly planned to report after preseason Week 3 but was upset when he learned the Texans were looking to trade him. With him now willing to sit out regular season games, the three-time Pro Bowler appears to be on the move before Week 1.
